Acoustica has just
announced the release of Mixcraft 4, a powerful new update to its Mixcraft
recording studio software. Mixcraft 4 introduces virtual instruments and MIDI
sequencing to Mixcraft's feature set, enabling users to record, compose, edit
and mix music entirely within the Mixcraft application, allowing anyone with an
inexpensive MIDI controller keyboard to turn their computer into a powerful
musical instrument. Acoustica says that instead of purchasing a single
synthesizer keyboard containing a limited collection of sounds, your computer
can be used as a musical instrument with an infinite palette.
Mixcraft 4 comes bundled
with a large collection of virtual instruments, including: the MinimogueVA
classic analog synthesizer re-creation; the VB3 Organ virtual tonewheel organ
with rotary speaker emulator; the Impulse polyphonic analog synthesizer;
Acoustica Instruments, a large collection of high-quality multisampled
instruments organized in General MIDI format; and Acoustica Grand Piano and
Acoustica Classical Piano, ultraprofessional 250 MB quadruple-strike sampled
grand pianos; a powerful new guitar amplifier modeling plug-in effect; a visual
spectrum analyzer effect; more 800 high-quality audio sound effects; and more.
Mixcraft 4 retails for
$74.95 and is optimized for use in Microsoft Windows Vista; system requirements
and purchase info can be found at www.acoustica.com.
