Bring Your Own Noise to Noisy Planet

Feb 5, 2008 6:37 PM

Do you have a rockstar dream? Well, then, Noisy Planet has an online destination for you. Existing to "help bridge the gap between music artists, distribution, and the fans"—a gap reportedly experienced firsthand by the company's founder Kevin Petersen—this new music community for musicians in any genre or skill level wants to help you reach your audience.

Born out of Petersen's own needs as a music artist, Noisy Planet's desire is to make their portal all-inclusive of music artists regardless of their accomplishments to date, to help all musicians find a market and reach listeners. The site claims to "stand up for music artists to make posting and selling your music online easy, quick and affordable." Available services even include transforming your old vinyl records and cassette tapes (should you have your songs in such formats) into MP3 format music files, so you can catch up with the rest of the world.

Get the details on how you and your tunes—whether they be the pop of a posh housewife, the hip-hop of a high-schooler or the edgy basement-homebrewed electronica of a software engineer—online at www.noisyplanet.net.
